Why is it called Yaktive?

As a young student in the 1980's, our Indonesian language teacher asked if we wanted a nickname.  I said yes, so he called me Jack.  When I grew facial hair I became Hairy Jack, then when I grew muscles, I became Hairy Yak.  My family still call me "Yak" to this day. 

Yak Pty Limited was unavailable when the company was incorporated about 20 years ago, so Yaktive was chosen as next best.
